This recipe is traditional chicken biryani recipe and it has a great taste.Biryani is an extremely popular Indian and pakistani dish. Once you have tried this recipe, your entire family will want it. It's fun, easy and you will never forget your first taste of freshly cooked biryani at home. 


Ingredients For Boiling Rice


Basmati Rice ____________ 750 gram

Star Anise _______________ 1

Cinnamon sticks _________ 2 or 3

Bay leave ________________ 3

Salt _______________________  1 1/2 tablespoon or to taste

Green cardamon __________ 6 

Green chilies _______________6

Vinegar  ____________________ 1  1/2 tablespoon

Water _______________________ 2 liter


Method For Boiling Rice


First wash the rice well with water.

Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.

Now pour 2 liters of water in a large pan.

Then add all the above ingredients to it.

When the water boils, drain the water from the rice and add it.

Cook the rice for 8 to 10 minutes, boil untilled 3/4 done.

Now Strain the rice water. And keep َa side.


Ingredients For Chicken 


Chicken _____________________ 750 gram

Cooking Oil _________________ 1/2 cup

Tomato ______________________ 2 large size

Ginger _______________________ 2 inch 

Garlic ________________________ 7-8 

Onion ________________________ 2 medium slice

Green chilies _________________ 8 

Nutmeg & mace powder ______ 1/2 teaspoon

Clove powder _________________ 1/4 teaspoon

Red Chili Powder _____________ 1 tablespoon or to taste

Turmeric powder _____________ 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder _____________ 1 1/2 teaspoon

Garam masala powder ________ 1 teaspoon

Fennel seeds powder __________ 1 teaspoon crushed

Salt _____________________________ 2 teaspoon or to taste

Lemon juice ____________________ 3 table spoon

Black pepper corns ___________ 1/2 teaspoon

Clove __________________________ 6 

Dried Plum ____________________ 8

Cumin seed ____________________ 1 teaspoon

Fresh Coriander _______________ 1/4 cup

Curd/ yogurt ___________________ 1/2 cup

Green Chili ____________________ 6

Mint____________________________ 1/4 cup

Fried Onion ____________________ 2 tablespoon


Method For Chicken Marination

First chop the tomatoes, green chillies, ginger and garlic and grind in a chopper. When it becomes a paste, keep it aside.

Now, mix nutmeg mace powder, fennel powder, and clove powder in a cup. Keep it a side.

Now place a large pan on the stove and add oil to it, add onion to it and fry golden brown

Then add proven black pepper, cloves, cumin seed and fry.

When it starts to smell, he adds tomato, ginger, garlic, green chili paste and fry .A

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, lemon juice and salt and fry well.

Now add chicken and green coriander and fry well.

When the color of the chicken changes, add potatoes and curd and fry well.

After frying well for about 18 minutes, when the oil starts to separate, take out half of the chicken and keep it aside.

Now spread the chicken well inside the pan, now add rice on top and spread it.

Add brown onion, chopped green coriander and mint to it.

Now add remaining spice mix of nutmeg mace powder, fennel and clove powder and spread it over it.

Similarly, now spread the remaining chicken curry over the rice, and Spread the rest of the rice over the chicken, adding the coriander, mint and onion, green chilies.

Take 3 tablespoons of water in a cup, then add a quarter teaspoon of orange food coloring mixed well to the rice. And add  2 tablespoon oil  cover and steam cook on low flame for 12- 15 minutes.

Eat for delicious chicken biryani is ready.
