Ingredients:
- Tomato - 800 gram ( puree)
- Onion - 1 large (finely chopped)
- Capsicum - 1 medium ( small cubs)
- Chicken mince - 1/2 kg ( 500 gram)
- Tomato paste - 4 tbsp ( 65 gram)
- Chili paste - 1 tbsp ( 2 tbsp, if you like spicy)
- Garlic pods - 2 ( finely chopped)
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Black papper - 1 tsp ( full powder )
- Oregano leaves - 1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp (vegetable or canola)
- Lasagna noodles - 9- 12
- Heat 2 tbsp oil on medium flame.
- Add garlic and saute for 15 seconds.
- Add onions and cook until they become soft/ tender (6-8 minutes)
- Chicken mince cook until it's color changes ( 5-6 minutes)
- Add in the tomato paste.
- Add in the tomato puree, and mix well.
- Cook on a light flame until one boil comes through.
- When it comes to the boil, add salt to it.
- Add in one teaspoon black pepper.
- Add in oregano leaves one teaspoon.
- Break the oregano by the hand and add.
- Add in chili paste, and mix well.
- Cook on a low medium flame for 20 minutes, uncovered.
- (After 20 minutes)
- Add capsicum ( optional) cook on a low medium flame for 5 minutes.
- The chicken sauce is ready, warm before assembling.
Step 2
Lasagna noodles
- Boil lasagna noodles according to the packet instructions.
- Boil in hot boiling water 8 - 10 minutes, add some salt and oil.
- Use oil between sheets to prevent sticking.
Step 3
To make the white sauce
- Milk - 2 1/4 cups
- Cheese - 1/2 cup (50 gram, cheddar or mozzarella)
- Un salt butter - 2 1/2 tbsp (35 gram)
- All-purpose flour - 2 tbsp (15 gram)
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/2 tsp( You can also use white pepper)
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 1/2 cup
Method
- Heat butter over medium heat.
- Add flour cook for 1 minute there should be on lumps.
- mix continuously
- Mix for one minute.
- Turn off the flame or remove it from the stove.
- Gradually stir in milk, until the mixture is smooth.
- Return to heat and stir continuously.
- Add salt and pepper, cook, until sauce boil and thicken.
- Mixing well.
- Turn off the flame,
- Add cheddar cheese, and mix well.
- The sauce should coat the back of a spoon.
Step 4
Assembling
- Grease 33 x 23 cm ( 13 x 9 inches) baking dish with butter or oil.
- Spread a thin layer of white sauce with a brush.
- Place 1 layer noodles.
- A thin layer of chicken sauce.
- Spread a thin layer of white sauce about 1/2 cup.
- Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese.
- Again place one layer of noodles.
- A thin layer of chicken sauce.
- A thin layer of white sauce about 1/2 cup.
- Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese.
- last layer of noodles.
- last layer of chicken sauce.
- last layer of remaining white sauce.About 3/4 cup.
- Sprinkle the grated mozzarella over the top as much you like.
- back at 375 F ( 190 C ) for 20 minutes uncovered.
- After 20 minutes
- Broil for 3-4 minutes at 500 F ( 260 C ) for the golden brown top (Optional)
- Set aside for 10 minutes before serving and cutting.(For 4 to 6 people)
