chicken lasagna recipe

Chicken Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:


  • Tomato                  -  800 gram ( puree)
  • Onion                     -   1  large  (finely chopped)
  • Capsicum              - 1 medium ( small cubs)
  • Chicken mince     - 1/2 kg  ( 500 gram)
  • Tomato paste       - 4 tbsp  ( 65 gram)
  • Chili paste             - 1 tbsp ( 2 tbsp, if you like spicy)
  • Garlic pods           - 2  ( finely chopped)
  • Salt                         -  1 tsp
  • Black papper        - 1 tsp ( full powder )
  • Oregano leaves    - 1 tsp 
  • Oil                          -  2 tbsp (vegetable or canola)
  • Lasagna noodles - 9- 12  

Method; 
Step One

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil on medium flame.
  2. Add garlic and saute for 15 seconds.
  3. Add onions and cook until they become soft/ tender (6-8 minutes)
  4. Chicken mince cook until it's color changes ( 5-6 minutes)
  5. Add in the tomato paste.
  6. Add in the tomato puree, and mix well.
  7. Cook on a light flame until one boil comes through.
  8. When it comes to the boil, add salt to it.
  9. Add in one teaspoon black pepper.
  10. Add in oregano leaves one teaspoon.
  11. Break the oregano by the hand and add.
  12. Add in chili paste, and mix well.
  13. Cook on a low medium flame for 20 minutes, uncovered. 
  14. (After 20 minutes) 
  15. Add capsicum ( optional) cook on a low medium flame for 5 minutes.
  16. The chicken sauce is ready, warm before assembling.

Step 2

Lasagna noodles

  1. Boil lasagna noodles according to the packet instructions.
  2. Boil in hot boiling water 8 - 10 minutes, add some salt and oil.
  3. Use oil between sheets to prevent sticking.
  
Step 3

To make the white sauce

  • Milk                       - 2  1/4 cups
  • Cheese                    - 1/2 cup (50 gram, cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Un salt butter       - 2  1/2 tbsp  (35 gram)
  • All-purpose flour  -  2 tbsp (15 gram)
  • Salt                          - 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper          - 1/2 tsp( You can also use white pepper)
  • Mozzarella cheese -  1  1/2 cup


Method

  1. Heat butter over medium heat.
  2. Add flour cook for 1 minute there should be on lumps.
  3. mix continuously 
  4. Mix for one minute.
  5. Turn off the flame or remove it from the stove.
  6. Gradually stir in milk, until the mixture is smooth.
  7. Return to heat and stir continuously.
  8. Add salt and pepper, cook, until sauce boil and thicken.
  9. Mixing well.
  10. Turn off the flame, 
  11. Add cheddar cheese, and mix well.
  12. The sauce should coat the back of a spoon.

Step 4

Assembling

  1. Grease 33 x 23 cm ( 13 x 9 inches) baking dish with butter or oil.
  2. Spread a thin layer of white sauce with a brush.
  3. Place 1 layer noodles.
  4. A thin layer of chicken sauce.
  5. Spread a thin layer of white sauce about 1/2 cup.
  6. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese.
  7. Again place one layer of noodles.
  8. A thin layer of chicken sauce.
  9. A thin layer of white sauce about 1/2 cup.
  10. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese.
  11. last layer of noodles.
  12. last layer of chicken sauce.
  13. last layer of remaining white sauce.About 3/4 cup.
  14.  Sprinkle the grated mozzarella over the top as much you like.
  15. back at 375 F ( 190 C ) for 20 minutes uncovered.
  16. After 20 minutes 
  17. Broil for 3-4 minutes at 500 F ( 260 C ) for the golden brown top (Optional)
  18. Set aside for 10 minutes before serving and cutting.(For 4 to 6 people)
