Healthy Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients

Lean Ground Beef--------------- 1 lb (or ground turkey for a leaner option)

Breadcrumbs -------------------- 1/2 cup

Onion -------------------------------- 1 small, finely chopped

Carrot -------------------------------- 1 grated

Celery Stalk ------------------------ 1 finely chopped

Cloves -------------------------------- 2

Garlic---------------------------------- 6 tablespoon  minced

Tomato sauce ----------------------1/4 cup low-sodium

Worcestershire sauce -----------1 tablespoon

Egg -------------------------------------- 1 beaten

Dried thyme ------------------------- 1  teaspoon

Died oregano ------------------------ 1 teaspoon

Salt and pepper --------------------- to taste

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan with cooking spray or oil.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), rolled oats, chopped onion, grated carrot, chopped celery, minced garlic, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beaten egg, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently and shaping it into a loaf shape.

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the top is golden brown.

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Serve slices of meatloaf with your favorite sides, such as steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a side salad, for a complete meal.

Enjoy your healthy meatloaf!

This meatloaf recipe provides a lighter take on traditional meatloaf by using lean ground beef or turkey and incorporating vegetables and oats for added nutrition and fiber. Adjust seasoning and ingredients according to personal taste preferences.
