Recipe For Hot Cocoa Cookies


This is a delicious recipe for Hot Cocoa Cookies. This recipe makes approximately 24 cookies, and the preparation time is about 15 minutes, with an additional 10-12 minutes for baking.


Hot Cocoa Cookies

Ingredients:


Unsalted Butter, softened ----- 1 cup (2 sticks) 
Sugar ------------------------------------1 cup granulated 
Eggs -------------------------------------- 2 large 
Vanilla Extract ----------------------- 1 teaspoon 
All-Purpose Flour ------------------- 3 cups 
Cocoa Powder ------------------------ 1/2 cup (unsweetened)
Baking Soda --------------------------- 1 teaspoon 
Salt ---------------------------------------- 1/2 teaspoon 
Mini Marshmallows --------------- 1 cup
Chocolate chips ---------------------- 1 cup (semi-sweet)
Crushed Candy Canes --------------1/2 cup (optional, for a festive touch)

Instructions:



Preheat The Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Now put butter paper in a baking tray and spread it with the help of a light melted butter brush and keep it aside.

Cream Butter And Sugar:


Then, in a large mixing bowl, first add the softened butter and granulated sugar and mix together until well combined.


Add Eggs And Vanilla:


Now beat in the eggs one by one, and then add the vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.


Combine The Dry Ingredients:


Now in a separate bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, and mix well.


Combine Wet And Dry Mixture:


Then slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.  Be careful not to over mix while mixing.


Fold In Marshmallows And Chocolate Chips:


Gently mix in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the cookie dough.


Scoop And Shape The Cookies:


Scoop out small balls of dough using a cookie scoop or spoon. and place on prepared baking sheets and press lightly, spacing them about 2 inches apart. 


If you want a festive touch, sprinkle some crushed candy canes on top of each cookie.


To Cook:

Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.  The middle part can be a little soft.


Cold:

Take the cookies out of the oven to cool completely and let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes.

Serve And Enjoy:


Once cooled, serve these delicious hot cocoa cookies with a cup of hot chocolate or your favorite hot beverage.


These cookies are the perfect treat for cozy winter days, and the gooey marshmallows and chocolate chips make them reminiscent of a cozy cup of hot cocoa. Enjoy!
